Our specialty clinics are available for patients of record (existing patients) in our general dentistry clinic who have more advanced needs or are referred to a specialist from their private practitioner. There are many options for payment when you receive treatment at our specialty clinics, and the School of Dentistry offers a number of flexible payment plans.

Orthodontics

Patients who seek treatment for irregularities of the position, crowding or spacing of teeth can visit the Orthodontic Clinic at Kornberg. The Orthodontic Clinic is fully equipped with digital technology and offers 

  • braces behind the teeth,
  • contemporary orthodontic appliances,
  • Invisalign, and
  • self-ligating and clear braces.

Due to the highly specialized nature of the services offered by the Orthodontic Clinic, a New Patient Screening Clinic appointment is required in order to admit new patients. To make an appointment, contact the phone number below.

Endodontics

Patients who require root canals or other treatments to the soft tissues inside a tooth can visit the Endodontic Clinic. 

The Endodontic Clinic offers root canal therapy and other advanced endodontic services at affordable rates. When you call, please indicate if you have a referral and if you are in need of urgent care.

If you don’t have a general dentist or referral, but you are in pain, please enter through our Emergency Services Clinic. If you are not experiencing pain, but you need a root canal, please enter as a new patient.

Periodontology and Oral Implantology

Patients who seek treatment for gum diseases or require dental implants can visit the Periodontology and Oral Implantology Clinic. Residents in this clinic provide services that include

  • prevention and treatment of diseases of the gums and supporting tissues of the teeth, 
  • surgical placement of dental implants, and
  • treatment of cosmetic problems such as gum recession and overgrowth.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 

Our advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program addresses patient needs through out-patient care at the School of Dentistry or through in-patient care at Temple University Hospital. Services include surgical treatment of injuries and developmental malformations of the mouth, jaws and related facial structures.
