For patients 16 years of age or older who have been assigned to a student dentist or resident, please do the following:

During regular business hours, first attempt to contact your assigned student dentist or resident first.  If you are unable to reach them, please contact the clinic in which you are assigned. Please see the directory if you are unsure of the number.

After hours emergencies, which are considered to be between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m., weekends and holidays, once again, your first step should be to try to contact your assigned student dentist or resident.  If you are unable to reach your student dentist or resident, please contact the clinic in which you are assigned.  The dedicated Dental School answering service can be accessed by pressing “9” in the prompts.

For Adult Patients Who Are NOT Assigned to a Student or Resident

Adults who are not assigned to a student dentist or resident, please call 215-707-2900 to schedule an appointment, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Please note, a previous visit to emergency services does not make you regular patient of the School of Dentistry.  If you would like to become a regular patient to have all your dental needs addressed, please call 215-707-2900 and ask for a new patient/screening appointment.

During an emergency visit, only the patient’s most urgent need will be addressed.  A fee for this service is collected before emergency procedures are provided. Cash, credit and/or debit are accepted.

Walk-ins are also welcome, but please note, depending on the activity of the clinic at the time, there may be a wait.  Staff will communicate availability and approximated wait times to help you make a decision whether to wait or ultimately schedule an emergency appointment.
