Transferring from one dental school to another can be challenging as schools may have varying approaches to curriculum structure and course sequencing. Once accepted to the Kornberg School of Dentistry, faculty and administrators help ensure that transfer students with advanced standing experience a seamless integration into the program. New students will receive an appropriate curriculum that is of equal competence to the curriculum required by current students. 

Admissions Requirements

The admissions process for transfer students is highly selective and determined by the availability of space and resources. Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications to be considered for acceptance.

• You are currently enrolled at a dental school in the United States or Canada.
• You have completed at least one year of dental school.
• You are in good academic standing.
• You can provide a detailed outline for each professional course taken.

Our Advanced Standing and Transfer Admissions Committee works with evaluating faculty to make final decisions for admission into the program. Baseline pre-exams may need to be administered.

Applications are accepted between Sept. 1 and Jan. 15 each year. Applications received after Jan. 15 are not considered.
