Housing

Because the Kornberg School of Dentistry is so easily accessible, students live in virtually every area of Philadelphia and its suburbs. Housing costs are very reasonable when compared to other major northeastern cities.

Parking and Transportation

Temple’s proximity to bus routes, major highways, and regional train and subway lines make it easy to access for commuters.

Parking

Parking is available to students at the Carlisle West Garage or the Battersby Parking Area on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates are payable in advance in minimum four-month billing periods.

Visit Temple Parking Services to purchase semester parking online and to view parking area availability, fee information and parking registration procedures.

The Office of Parking Services is located on the first floor of the Carlisle West Garage at Carlisle and Ontario streets (vehicle entrance via 15th Street). The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students must have a current, valid Temple University ID and parking permit to access the parking areas.

Shuttle Service

While dental school students will spend a majority of their time at Temple’s Health Sciences Center, there is a regular bus service available to transport students to and from Main Campus from the Health Sciences Center.
