Biography

Jong Ryul Kim is an associate professor at the Kornberg School of Dentistry. He received his first DMD from KyungHee University School of Dentistry, Seoul, South Korea in 1998. After a three-year residency program in endodontics and operative dentistry, and a subsequent three years spent in military service in South Korea, Dr. Kim worked in private practice. He also taught dental students at Kyung Hee University while pursuing his PhD, which he completed in 2008. 

In the United States, Dr. Kim was accepted into the postgraduate program in endodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, which he completed in 2014. He has published numerous papers and presentations on endodontic materials/irrigation and dentin regeneration. He is a board-certified endodontist through the American Board of Endodontics, and also currently practices endodontics in Pennsylvania.
