Dental Mentor™ for Alumni

Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry is providing its alumni with a unique continuing education environment based on social media platforms.  The Dental Mentor™ is an internet and mobile accessible social media platform that protects patients’ health information and allows users to engage in sharing of patient-generated clinical information for discussion, asking questions, and for demonstration.

The Dental Mentor™ programs (web based for now and the iOS and Android version to follow) are our dental school’s platform to provide an opportunity for ongoing learning through sharing of information on real-life cases and clinical questions. Unlike Facebook, the Dental Mentor™ is a program written by Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry and is managed and moderated by faculty and staff. Participation in the Dental Mentor™ is controlled to ensure that only alumni and members of the Temple University Dental Study Group participate.  Members of the Dental Mentor™ for Alumni are automatically members of the newly formed Temple University Dental Study Group that will offer a free continuing education lecture and dinner once a month.

Alumni who wish to be part of the Temple University Study Group can register to participate in dental mentoring by accessing the following registration form:

https://ksod.temple.edu/KSODWebForm/default.aspx?s=1

Once approved by the moderators, you will receive an email which will allow you to create a password.  Then you can access the Dental Mentor™ via the following site:

https://ksod.dm.alumni.temple.edu/

and submit cases or answer questions or elaborate on discussions.

Information shared in the Dental Mentor™ is protected by Temple University policy on confidentiality and must not be copied, photographed, printed, or shared in any medium without the written approval of Temple University.  Confidentiality of any information on patients and participants must be honored.  Dental Mentor™ will be a moderated site and no information that can identify patients will be approved for publication in the Dental Mentor™.
