Dr. Bhoopathi is a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health. He graduated with a bachelor’s in dental surgery from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR University in India. He holds a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) degree from East Tennessee State University, an advanced residency degree in dental public health (CAGS), and a doctorate of science in dentistry in dental public health degree (DScD) from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bhoopathi has previously worked at the Dental Bureau of New York State Department of Health, Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Currently he is appointed as a tenure track faculty in the Department of Oral Health Sciences at Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. His specific research interests include access to dental care and health disparities in pediatric population, dental workforce issues, and dental education.
