DMD Program

As a graduate of Temple’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, you will be highly competent in providing ethical, scientifically based, patient-centered, and community-oriented oral healthcare. 

Classes & Curriculum

The academic year is divided into two semesters and a summer session. The fall semester includes the months of September through December. The spring semester is approximately January through April. 

The first-year curriculum emphasizes the study of normal structure and function of the oral cavity, head, neck, thorax, abdomen, and upper extremities. This is achieved in the fall general/oral histology and biochemistry/nutrition courses and in the spring anatomy courses – gross anatomy and neuroanatomy.
