Practice the future of dentistry!

As the second-oldest dental school in the United States, Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry has been educating dentists since 1863.

Our graduate degree programs are grounded in ethical, scientifically based, patient-centered and community-oriented oral healthcare. We offer a dynamic teaching and learning community, rich curriculum and diverse patient pool to promote clinical excellence and humanism among our dental students and residents. The result is progressive healthcare practitioners, proactive public health advocates, inquisitive lifelong learners and innovative leaders who continually address present and anticipate future healthcare challenges. Our location in North Philadelphia allows students to serve and meet the medical needs of patients in our community. We have a longstanding commitment to treating underserved patients in our practice.

Master’s degree and graduate dental programs in the Kornberg School of Dentistry integrate didactic curricula with rigorous clinical experience, as well as research and scholarly opportunities, so our students are prepared to practice immediately after earning their degree. Students have access to state-of-the-art technology and world-class facilities, training in contemporary laboratory techniques as well as research methodology and technology, and a supportive and nurturing environment.

Doctor of Dental Medicine

The Kornberg School of Dentistry’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program is a well-rounded clinical doctorate program that places the patient at the center of students’ education so they provide compassionate, considerate and professional care when diagnosing and treating patients. Our international DMD program is specifically designed for experienced dentists who have graduated from international dental schools.

Graduate and Postbaccalaureate Degree Programs

We offer graduate and postdoctoral advanced specialty degree programs in Dental Public Health, Endodontics, Oral Health Sciences, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics and Periodontics. Students in these programs receive rigorous training to hone skills in their specialty.
