Community Engagement/Relations

The mission of The Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry (TUKSOD) is to promote oral health through the education of diverse general and specialty dentists with advanced skills who provide comprehensive, patient centered, evidence-based care, and engage in research, scholarly activities, and community service.

We value the community in which we exist and serve, as well as the global community.  We look forward to continuing our efforts to build better and stronger community relations through The Deaprtment of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health Sciences.

Temple University held its 2017 Global Days of Service (GDS) from April 24-30. As part of GDS, Kornberg School of Dentistry hosted a breakfast at New Visions Methodist Church on Saturday, April 29. More than 20 alumni, students and staff, as well as Dean Ismail, volunteered and served the community breakfast and distributed oral healthcare goodie bags. This amazing event strengthened the relationship between Temple Dental and its neighboring North Philadelphia community.
